Number 15 For King Roger?

Tomorrow sees the culmination of this years tournament at SW19 and what a final it is expected to be.

I only hope it backs up what has been a fantastic tournament.

The great Roger Federer is on course to win an unprecedented 15th grand slam tournament over taking the current record he jointly holds with Pete Sampras.

One Of Yorkshire’s Finest Retires!

Today saw the confirmation that the most successful England captain of all time, Michael Vaughan, OBE, had decided to retire from all forms of the great game.


This was a slight shock but it had to be expected following his justified omission from the forthcoming ashes series. Averaging under 20 runs per innings this season is simply not good enough.

It’s Wimbledon Fortnight

It is that time of year again. No this has nothing to do with the umpteenth series of Big Brother (I’ve used celebrity quotes twice now, no more Gaffney, no more I tell you – and I’m talking to myself, which is a bad sign)

Anyway…I digress!

Get your strawberries and cream at the ready, paint your face with a Union Jack, order yourself a glass of Pimms and sit back to watch another in the long line of British treasures!
