Is It Only Sport?

In an ever changing world when we listen to any news bulletin and are bombarded with nuclear war threats, MPs and there latest expense shenanigans, swine flu, Mike Tyson’s daughter tragically dying and the continuation of the credit crunch.

It has to be remembered that it is only a sport, a hobby that we choose to follow it isn’t or shouldn’t be a matter of life or death. But it isn’t, is it? It is more than just a sport, a game, and occasionally it may feel like the end of our world.

And The Award Goes To…..David Moyes

As awards, trophies, promotions, relegation and recognition are been given out left, right and centre at the business end of the domestic and European football season, surely two awards have already been decided?

Hopefully the LMA (League Managers’ Association) can see where recognition and reward are deserved and award both The Barclay’s Premier League Manager of the Year and the LMA Manager of the Year to, yes you’ve guessed, David Moyes the Everton Manager.

This Season’s PFA Nominations Are Farcical

The nominations for the PFA (Professional Footballers’ Association)  player of the year award were announced earlier this week and surprise surprise 5 of the 6 nominations were Manchester United players, the other player been Steven Gerrard of Liverpool.

These awards are chosen by the body who has chosen to represent players during and after their careers and act as a Trade Union representation. But it has to be said the choosing of this years nominations show bias to one of the Premier Leagues top teams and their players.
